Investigative Exercise 1.  Library 2.0

Library 2.0 is the term behind libraries using social networking and trying to get the public involved with the library in a larger way than they previously were able to. According to Holmberg, 2009 'Library 2.0 is a change in interaction between users and libraries in a new culture of participation catalysed by social web technologies.'

    Also, seven key principles identified as "interactivity, users, participation, libraries and library services, web and web 2.0, social aspects and technology and tools.'

    The use of Web 2.0 in libraries help personalizing outreach services. The application of these tools help libraries offer their resources in a proactive manners for their users.
