The Chronicles of Harris Burdick is based on an intriguing mystery about a set of charcoal drawings that all tell a separate story. Pearl also discusses Van Allsburg's other works The garden of Abdul Gasazi, The Polar Express and Jumanji and his influences as an illustrator. Very tempting.
There is a wonderful Youtube about cataloguing as a metaphor for Russell's paradox about sets. It is not very long: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or0QpAfOoZE It explained the Barber paradox very clearly by using cataloguing as an example.
